Default Thanks for the explanation...(m)

I'll stick with 19s, because most guys weigh more than me (105lbs, if you weigh less, you need help!)...the weight difference alone makes up for me having 19s and a guy rolling stock.

On another note, ever notice the irony of fat guys having a lot of performance mods? Wouldn't you go faster and spend less money if you just lost the weight, instead of trying find lightweight forged wheels to buy?

Actually there is a difference between "sprung weight" (you) and "unsprung weight" (wheels).

yes, but unsprung weight(like wheels) has a MUCH greater impact than sprung weght (like passengers).

Default True...if speed was the lone concern. Honestly, how much slower is a car with 19s?

few hundreths of a sec? a good driver can easily make that up.

Default I wish S4MadMan was here to tell you that he can't stand the 19's......

few hundredths??? hmmm, i'd say it would be a tenth or two if you're running pretty heavy and tall.

Default physics also tells us its important WHERE on the wheel the weight is.

its better if the weight is closer to the center of the wheel. but you are right, the most important thing is the driver (and that you have a 6 speed.....not a tip like me).

Default The only reason I would bring this up is because he isn't here...

I would hate to be lectured on sprung vs unsprung =>

All I know is that when guys see me, they get sprung.. just kidding =>
