Are there aftermarket pads available for stock S4 calipers?

The problem is....
The pads available run $300-400 for just the front set. I'm in the same situation and contemplating whether or not to just upgrade to a whole new brake kit. Hawk is suppose to have pads available for the stock S4 calipers soon though and they should run less than the Pagids and Porterfields.
