are there any alternatives/choices to do tip tranny upgrade besides L10 (and manual tranny swap :P)?

Tip can do both, stick can't...
With the tip you can drink your coffee, talk on a cell phone, and pay attention in rush hour traffic. You can drive the car with clients in the car and not look like a gear jockey. But when you want to play, you have a choice! Just push the lever to the right and you can paddle shift or slap the stick up and down. You don't have the choice with the stick.
I would rather play with the radio, iPod etc while in stop and go traffic than mess with the shift lever.

I would like to point out that the 6 speed can't handle the power either!
You have to upgrade the clutch assembly to make it work. Same week spot in the tip basically. Tip just costs more to get to the level.
