I used Dunlop M2 winter tires (225/45-17) on stock 17" Avus wheels last winter, and they were great.

Default Yes -- I've used Vredestein Wintracs 225/45/17 all winter long

Default I think you'd be happy with any of them, my experience with blizzaks were great
it wasn't an Audi, but a Camry V6 that typically did badly in snow, the B's really dug in.

M2's worked great on S4 past two winters; will use them on wife's TT this coming winter, as well.
