Is there any reason I want to keep my stock ECU as an extra on a stage III- setup.

Running on Giac-X - should i get rid of the stock?

some spare parts are always worth keeping, i would say ECU is one of them...

I bought junkyard ecu and had apr stage 3 installed on it.. removed and stored original unit.

Default It's nice to have a stock ECU handy for troubleshooting, etc.

You don't necessarily have to own one, just have access to one in a pinch. For example, I sold my stock ECU but I have my brother's stock T box ECU in the garage in case I need it for whatever reason.
