is there an engine monitoring system that would display on a headunit screen
something that would show boost, AFR's, EGT's ect... in real time. i have a pop-out screen and i want it to show on that. i know that with systems like motec you can, but i've not seen anything that is just a monitoring system.

the camp is not so bad.... for what your getting at least
$250 for the brain,
$300 for the sensor box
and about $115 per item you want it read... (boost, EGT, temps)
In the word of mobile electronics,,, 700-800 bucks is not terrible,,,, My Sony Mobile video system in my GTi was like 3500 bucks once everyting was added up... and if there was a product like this at the time, I would have jumped on it cause it gave a system that was otherwise useless 80% of the time and cool use.

its a pricy system that works well. keeps the gauge clutter to a minimum

roughly 600 for these gauges:
speed
revs
fuel consumption
Injector opening %
boost
all the gauges are scalable between the settings.
needle movement is incredibly smooth like analog, you can also view digital data on a dynamic bar graph. PCMCIA card slot for data acquisition.
I bought it almost 2 years ago. now its even more expensive and harder to get
