Default is there a reason my rear pass side tire has much less tread then my rear drivers side? niether has
been rotated, or been on the car longer than the other... but there is a significant difference in the rate of wear... thanks

also, its over the entire contact point of the tire... not, for example, just the inside edge

Because of the way the differential works, the right-rear will usually wear 1mm more.
