Default If you get caught, transferred points are the least of your problems.

Think bail money, and lawyers fees...costs to return to the scene to appear before Judge X, etc.

Anyway, what I would do...get someone to scout the road ahead for you...bring two way radios, have them scan the terrain for traffic of any kind two miles out, and make a run for the border. Of course I take no responsibility for your actions.

Radios are invaluable for runs of this type...or so I've heard.

Even if the law hadn't changed, I doubt you could get away with "reasonable and prudent" at 160+ :-P

Default There are multiple different ticket compacts of shared info (see link)

The link I have cited shows which communicate with each other.

Default You might want to save that for roads you know....

at 150+ **** happens real fast. I did 150 on the SanRafael bridge at 3am. I did not have to worry about somebody pulling out in front of me from an onramp

Default I know a spot in UT that is almost perfect for it, especially in the morning.. :)

straight, fairly smooth, wide open, NOTHING out there. few spots in death valley that are good too. Valley floors in between mountains are good almost anywhere, I found quite a few 8mile long, bowl shaped straights out west, check maps, check satellite images.

DO a preliminary sweep and abort if you see ANYTHING before or during the attempt. Sunday mornings are preferable.
