thinking about connecting my ipod through the CD changer...
so my buddy did this in his Mercedes and it seems to work pretty well. so i though why cant i do it in my Audi?
sounds simple right?
get a 13 pin connector on one side and RCAs on the other side. hook up the 13 pin connector to the CD changer in the trunk. run the RCA wires under the carpet to the arm rest/glove compartment hook up a RCA/3.5 mm jack and your done! instant MP3 player ready.
any of you guys try this?
here the noob part!
i checked in my trunk and cant find the 13 pin connector? umm did they forget to install one in my 01? or was that an option? i have the Symphony radio with the Bose system just for reference. is there a way to check with the VIN if i have a CD Changer cable pre-installed in my car or do i have to gut out the trunk to find it?
here is the material list i was thinking about:
1. <a href="http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2263428&cp=&sr=1&origkw=RCA+3. 5mm&kw=rca+3.5mm&parentPage=search">3.5mm to RCA cable</a>
2. <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ECLIPSE-AUX-LINE-IN-RCA-13-PIN-INPUT-ECL-E-RCA-IPC-106_W0QQitemZ320244015243QQihZ011QQcategoryZ60208Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">13pin to RCA cable</a>

Can the Denison Icelink plug into the CD changer output in the trunk, or is it only to the headunit?
