Something like the one in the link. Any of you currently using anything like this? Is 25,000 btu really large enough for a 2 1/2 car garage in PA?
Need to keep warm while working on the S :-)<ul><li><a href="http://www.mrheater.com/productdetail.asp?id=696&cid=148">Mr heater</a></li></ul>

winter months and they put out a lot of heat, but they may be using the larger size. They don't seem to list dimensions, but if one about that size can heat a driving range tee with it open to the wind, that should do fine in an enclosed garage.

It's made by Primus, and just attaches to a propane tank. 25k BTU.
It's WONDERFUL.
If you have a 2 car garage and it's uninsulated, it will not be enough.
If it is insulated it will be enough.
It might not be enough for a 3 car insulated though.
I've used mine in a friends insulated garage, granted in nor cal, but it was low 40's and raining, we got burned out.
I use it in my uninsulated garage, again, low 40's raining, and while it took the chill off, it would not heat it up totally. However if it's not raining and real damp, then it's great.

You might want to consider a double one of these...<ul><li><a href="http://www.mrheater.com/productdetail.asp?id=673&cid=146">http://www.mrheater.com/productdetail.asp?id=673&cid=146</a></li></ul>

a hook-up in the garage. That's why I'm thinking the wall mounted one might be best. Even has a thermostat. In reading the specs, looks like I need to be concerned about clearances, so can't go much larger. Maybe two of the 25,000 btu ones. Not sure I'm crazy about a portable one with a hose laying on the floor and worrying about space in front of it.

Very good on gas too. I keep it at 50deg constantly and it uses very very little NG.
