Thinking of selling my car and getting a C55 AMG. Opinions.
After my accident I'm just so sick that it will never be the same again. I'm thinking about just having the insurance company pay to get it fixed and then selling it.

It's not bad, cracked bumper, dented trunklid. Requires painting of the trunk and bumper.
The painting is what I'm worried about because a new coat of paint will never look like the original. Especially if steps are not taken to minimize orange peel. Over 4 years of babying the car and washing every week just makes me sick to think there will be that spot on the car that just isn't right.

Im actually thinking about the C55 as well................
I havent driven one but I think Im going to go tomorrow after work and test drive one. I like the stock power numbers, I like the styling outside, not sure about the interior. The one thing that I really dont like and dont understand is it doesnt have a lsd wtf? A car with so much power and no lsd? So I dont know about that especially coming off a quattro car.

i'm so glad i pick the quattro
but i assumed HIS4 is in hawaii, i'd say go for it!
smooth ride and lots of power, don't like the interior tho...

I considered replacing with a C55, but ...
Ultimately the "grown up" (read: slightly stodgy) nature of the baby AMG moved it down my short list. I'd also complain about the lack of a manual tranny, but the slush box AMG uses is fantastic ... as far as automatics go. No, it really came down to the car feeling like it was meant for a 50 year-old peditrician, not a 37-going-on-23 year-old scrub like me.
Still, when I see one pass I think about owning one.
