Love it, get it, don't ever regret it. Worth every penny in looks and function.

Default I have silver Alcantara. The car is 14-months old. The Alcantara still looks and feels new.

I like the Alcantara so much, that I plan to have other cars (if they have leather) re-upholstered with Alcantara.

The seats would be hardest I think. Everything else you can buy and put in? Anyone ever do this???

Default Alcantara (or ultrasuede as its called in this country) easily available

any upholstery shop should be able to recover your seats

all it takes is $$$$

Default I checked with an auto upholstery shop, on this issue, and the cost was anywhere from $1000-$1800.

I asked about doing this to a number of cars, since I would like to have it done to other vehicles that I might buy.
I was told that there are variables that the upholsterer will consider, including the particular design of the seats, and how much area you want covered.
Evidently some seats are more difficult to deal with.
The upsholsterer that I talked to said that the material cost is the smallest part of the job.
They told me that it could go as high as $2,000 if I wanted the all parts of the seats covered, including the headrests, etc.
