For those that have done steering wheel conversions, is it certain that a B5 airbag won't fit...

Yea, but the airbag cover itself is the same size. I am going to call a dealer and see if the part..

numbers match up.

Yes, but only the later ones... the earlier ones fit in our steering wheels

WILL NOT FIT! Just as they said. Our airbags are curved on the sides compared to the one you have in

your picture. If you put them side by side you will see how straight that one is on the sides compared to ours. The bottom is a bit different too. Also like someone else said it, the later TT airbag will fit it, while the early TT bag will fit our steering wheels. The early TT has the sport emblem on the bottom(the one that will fit our wheels), the later does not, this will fit the wheel in your picture. I actually have a comparison picture at home, I'll post it up here if I don't forget.
