What exactly did the dealer do? How much did they charge? Did the dealer have to weld anything?
Any pics of the final install on an Avant would be greatly appreciated.

Call the parts department. Order the left and right part. When they come in call service and make an appointment for the FREE latch retrofit. BTW I was not under warranty when I had this done to either of my cars.
My dealer had a special on alignment and balance for $140 so I had that done also and got a FREE loaner.
When you pick up the car pull up on the front edge of the bottom seat cushion. Make sure they did not break the clips that hold down the bottom cushion. They broke one on my A4 but did not on the S4.
I can post Avant pictures tonight. You can't see much because they are down deep. S4 seats stick out more than A4 seats and they use the same LATCH parts.

earlier models if you put in a request. I wanted to do it myself, so they made me pay for the brackets ($35-40 I think). You need to do exactly what 'carl viking' says in his response.
