Default Those with Oettinger grill...

I'm curious how well the paint has held up over time.

If it has done well where did you get it from?

ALso I searched and couldn't find anyone with Santorin and the Oettinger grill. Anyone out there have a pic? I saw a nice picture of a black S4 w/ the grill so I assume thats the closest thing.

Thanks

Default i would assume it holds up about as well as the hood does that surrounds it.

paint is paint, i dont think it matters so much as what it is applied to

Default I disagree.....if something was given a crappy paint job

it will not hold up. From my experience there are few paint jobs as good as the factory paint setup. And I'm sure this is especially true with Audi.

I painted a similar grill on an old car of mine and it ended up chiping quite a bit in just a year. Then again I didn't paint it very well. Basically I"m just asking how the paint jobs have held up. I.E. would I be better off taking it to a paint shop and having them paint it or would getting the aftermarket shop I purchase it from to paint it be fine.

Default Here's a not so close up pic of my silver one.......

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/563/speedsport_my_s4_2.jpg"></center><p>I had it and my bumper repainted at the same time and then had both covered with Armourfend.

Both have held up great and still look like new.

Default Indeed! Now as soon as I recover from the 6 months and rediculous $$$$$ I just spent on my car,

You'll be the first person I call.

BTW, don't let everyone rain on your parade. You did an incredible job and put out a proven product that other "established" tuners have not been able to provide. I *will* be a future customer as soon as funds allow.
