Those with upgraded brakes... about, traffic situations.
With upgraded brakes do you feel the need to be extra cautious that following traffic does not rear-end you?

Sometimes... since I know *I* can stop in a given distance, and if someone
is tailgating (or even "too close" to) me, I get a little nervous...
I can probably outbrake 95% of the cars I pass on the road each day

yeah I've had that thought. Most people in Seattle still tailgate (which drives me crazy)
so all in all I drive the same way I did before. If they rear end you. it's their fault. Period.

I just let them try hit me, they are focker they deserve crash my cars and i crash their face into
the exhaust pipe. Last night i drive so slow on the telephone so i not go fast. Behind me was ugly lady in ugly saturn american stupid cars that sniff my butt and then try pass me on shoulders and then cut to left side. Then I getting SO ANGRY SO ANGRY i follow her for 10 mile with secrets foglight blinding and then passing her with much vigor and tenaciousness and throwing bottle water at her.
I laffing so hard i almost cry she lady so stupid.

Stock could outbrake 95% of the cars too. In 60-0 breaking stopetchs (or whatever) dont beat stock
the benifit comes from the ability to repeatedly stop from high speeds and not have the brakes fry. In standard 60 to 0 stops, the stock S4 brakes are actually very very good.

Mazda MPV stops faster than A6 2.7t from 70 mph...
...according to C&D. My point is that you are correct. Bigger brakes (kit or stock) won't make a material difference in a single panic stop from legal speeds. However, when I look at my sig., I am reminded of that final Big Red induced deceleration before the sickening crunch...
