burnt out bulb warning came on, so I got out to find that the driver side bulb was off. I turned the lights on and off a few times and it came back on, but now the bulb is purple instead of blue. They are supposed to be 10,000K bulbs, and we blue before, but now that one is purple and the other is still blue. I have had them since the summer so I would imagine they have had sufficient 'burn in' time. Any thoughts?

could it be there is an inconsistent voltage supply or a different voltage going to that bulb?
also you are giving it sufficient warm up time when watching it right? the xenons are more blue when fired up, then stabilize to a whiteish color. for 10000k bulbs i have no idea, usually bulbs that high on the color spectrum are ricey ones bought from ebay that are lesser quality.
the xenon color output with respect to temperature as i remember it is:
4300k white
6000k bluish
8000k blue
10000k purple
12000k super purple

just all the sudden went purple. Coming from old oem bulbs they weren't any worse output, somewhat better actually. But anyway, where is the cheapest place to buy like say a 4300 to maybe 6000K bulb? since it turned purple I'm guessing it is gonna die soon for some reason...since it is ebay bulbs...but anyway, what do most people go with?

have noticed they are not NEARLY as bright as my moms 2004 A8L, so I am ordering some new ones. Are Phillips 4300K good?
