Default Throttle Adaptation Question

Does disconnecting the battery cause the computer to do throttle adaptation again? (Or does it need to be "set" with the VAG tool?)

Thanks<p>

Default Disconnecting the battery does not cause throttle adaptation...

Throttle adaptation is an idle optimization procedure that is done with a VAG tool according to the procedure defined in the factory manual.

Disconnecting the battery evidently clears out some parameters that the ECU adjusts slowly over time and that place a ceiling on the ignition advance, or something similar in effect.
