cold, but not like FREEZING cold. if that made any sense....

Default The only time I really wouldn't do it is when the engine is really hot. I personally like doing it

when the coolant is warmed up to halfway on the gauge but the oil isn't hot yet.

Do it cold... like overnight if possible.

Service manual says cold.
