I was driving my wife's S4 on the weekend when it suddenly starts running
like a dog, hesitating under slight acceleration and no power. Uh oh.
Scanned with VAG and got the following fault codes:
17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation P1557 - 35-00 - -
17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S1: Internal Resistance too High P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Seemed like a boost leak was a possibility, so I started checking around the
throttle body hose according to https://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng19.shtml.
I was just about to remove the clamp to the throttle body itself expecting to see a tear in the hose when I noticed the clamp was loose. Not just loose, the whole hose was detached from the throttle body!
The car had the throttle body replaced by the dealer some weeks ago and I'm
guessing the clamps weren't retightened properly. Grrrr.
Can you tell from the outside of the clamp (without removing it) whether it's old- or new-style?
Thought I'd post this in case this information is helpful to someone else in
the same situation.
