I did it on my A6, but I don't see why it would not work on an A4.

I replaced it, as well as airbag and self-cancelling ring. Yes, it is quite expensive (about $1000 to $1200). I will soon place a document in the technical section.

did you replace a regular steering wheel with a tip steering wheel or did you replace the tip steering wheel with another tip steering wheel? what did you replace with what ?

I replaced a normal steering wheel (standard four branches), ie. NO Tip switches with a Tip steering wheel, with switches. Plus the airbag and the self-canceling ring, as there are more contacts to pass through.
Does it make more sense ?
