Default Tire Question

Did anybody try to mount 235/45 tires on stock rims? If yes, were there any problems?

235/40 should be better.

Yup, I agree with phe. Rolling diameter will be too large, effecting gearing, and speedo accuracy.

I think you should just replace your stock ones with some tires the same size..what a novel idea!!!

Yes S02 PP - stock wheels - no spacers - no rubbing.

Default Both 235/40 and 235/45 effect speedo accuracy. (m)

The 235/45 is actually closer to the stock 225/45 than the 235/40

The 235/40 will read 2.29% too fast on the speedo and the 235/45 will read 1.42% too slow. Both are negligable differences

Default Mark, I agree that the differences are negligable, but I have a sizing question for you. more...

I thought that if you go to the next wider tire, then you must decrease the aspect ratio to keep the diameter of the tire the same.Math not being my forte, am I missing something?
