Tire size 225/45 r 17, what are those numbers stands for?

225 = the size of the tire in MM. Basically if you take a tire and stand it like a tire that's mounted on a car, put your palms on each side of it, and that's 225 MM in width.
45 = the MM's from the edge of the rim to the edge of the tire. That's usually a number in the 30's-40's for a low profile tire...then there ultra low profile which are ridiculously smaller and unncessary![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
not sure w/the R means, probably the tire rating. and the 17 means the rim size that will fit on the tire. That means you've got 17" rims, the stock rims
