Nope. Not only do they know not to wash it, only specific ppl drive it...
I met the cleaning guys and talked to them so they also know that they _never_ wash, vacumn etc. :0)
I don't feel it's rude. I've been polite about asking/telling them.

I never had this problem because I meet with the person servicing...
my car as he is required to drive my car from the parking area to the rear of the building.
The procedure is like this...I stop my car in front of the servicing/parts showroom door. I speak with the service rep./manager. I wait a little while and a service repair guy comes to the desk to read the work order. He looks at the car and takes the keys and walk to it. I walk with him to indicate what should be looked at and reinforce my requests.

Good man. Why do Audi dealerships sell us 40K cars, and wash them with steel wool?
My last 24K included the dealership wash which, kept me from having my car for 20 days after they scratched the hood, among other issues.
I will now tape a "Do not Wash" note on the steering, in addition to "Follow all repair procedures"....
I can't wait for my warranty to be up, so I can get my repairs done by a private shop. Sad, but true.

Last time they put MAD scratches on my car.. and scratched my wheels..
so from now on .. i make sure that i take my car clean to the dealer so they wouldn't even bother washing it
