Default Took the s4 out for some spirited driving with the APR ecu on and...

i noticed some things. Sorry to keep asking questions, im a newb to s4's and turbos. When i get on the gas (over 2-2.5k rpm), the engine has a deep, kind of gurgling noise(not a v8 type of gurgle). I can't really describe it much better than that, but i do not here the typical turbo whine. I can hear it spool up until the gurgling drowns it out. Is this normal? I have apr ecu, apr bipipe, and apr intercoolers(not completely sure since i bought the car used, but a see shiny aluminum down in the bay towards the sides). Another thing i noticed was that, occasionaly, when the car shifts from 2 to 1, it makes a thunk. It happened maybe two times when slowing down fast. It also happened once when i downshifted from 3 to 2. Could there be a tranny problem?

Default EGT sensor for the thunking maybe .. I hate my APR ECU .. the power curve is maybe good for tracking

the car as the power comes on smooth, but i prefer the instant power the GIAC had.

Default well, the car came with the apr and, i agree, it does seem really smooth...

and slow at higher rpm's. Before i found out the car had it, i was planning on getting a giac x. I hear the new apr software makes it run at a bit higher boost

I was thinking along the same lines but some of the other posts made me wonder.
