Yes we increase the pressure more than Giac and go into section of the TCU code and make the
valve body hold the pressure for firmer, crisper shifts. The trans feels for connected to the motor because in stock form it feels sloppy and disoriented.

I'm guessing that BTDL is "Brake-Throttle-Delay", or something similar. It's Tiptronic-specific...
....not C5-specific.
Has to do with the TCU/ECU delaying/reducing power immediately after letting off the brake, particularly from a very slow roll. It's a legacy of the "unintended acceleration" debacle that nearly chased Audi from the US market, I think.
You learn to drive around it most of the time, but it's a pain in the a**.

Like many others I am dealing with a TCU code for the inoperable converter and now facing a torque converter upgrade. I am in the market for something I have to replace once, as I do not enjoy doing work twice.

How accurate are your tcm and stage 2 pricing you quoted? I believe you stated $1200 for the package, previously, correct?
You guys are modifying the stator, fins, and clutch components in the converter correct? I plan on doing rs4 or rs6 turbo's on the A6 and want the trans to handle the power without a question. From what I gather stage 2+your chip is equal or better than "other" companies recommondations of torque converter rebuilds and valve body upgrades, correct?

Vast had my stock trans/converter at 2750rpms holding 10-12 boost on ko4s. I could see this doing wonders for the tip guys. How you doing Prince, getting into the forums :P

Tiptronic upgrade?
So my mechanic hosed my tiptronic... So free upgrades! What and Where would be a good place to rebuild to oem or better? Better being the preferred. It's a '02 B5 S4 2.7t
