Default Hmm, I was about to get those T clamps- so these are basically the APR clamps with 2 bolts?

here's the APR clamp:

Default They're a little different.

The band clamps (dynomax, jcwitney, etc) are much wider so it covers the whole joint including the overlap. And the band material is thinner so it deforms and stretches somewhat to the shape of the exhaust pipes.

Default Just put my APR on recently and used a similar band clamp from NAPA like FrozenS4. Worked well...

The APR clamp was ok but the nuts and bolts broke under pressure )=.

Default Yea, you can see the rolled metal of the summit T-clamp

My exhaust has been pivoting at the pipe joint, instead of the flex connections, as it should. THat causes it to rattle against the heat shield during decel.

The T clamps have the hollow rolled metal that bent, allowing the clamp to loosen. It appears to be cheap galvanized steel. I'm afraid I can't apply more torque on the nut without causing it to bend even more.

One of the APR nuts galled when I removed them and the bolt broke. The center piece broke in half on the other clamp. Hopefully, the "reaction block" will give the clamp ear more leverage to tighten the clamp. I also figured the longer clamp would help to stiffen the pipe joint.

Sorry for the false lead on the T-clamps. I just recently realized the problem.

Default i think you got ripped off at that price

i mean you can get those clamps online for dirt cheap at a lot of stores.

check the link for an example. they sell 3" as well. use high temp gasket sealer on the joints as well just to be sure that it doesnt leak. I used these on my car for almost 4 years with no problems ever.

run the search in this link and scroll down for all your exhaust clamp needs<ul><li><a href="http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&amp;Ntt=exhaust+band+c lamp&amp;N=4294919985">clamps</a></li></ul>
