Not much work to it. No problems really.
My VM2 was also one of the few that actually fit very very nicely.

I have NEVER been able to get it to fit worth a damn. I've adjusted it (and had it adjusted by an Audi technician) over a half dozen times now and also done a complete re-install. It still makes contact with/vibrates off of/bangs against my swaybar and left rear control arm. Oh, and it also leaks.
For the most part the sound is nice. I have had it backfire (loudly) just once, though.
Some people seem to have had better luck than others in getting their's to fit well, but certainly not me. When I do sell mine I will make no secret about the difficulties I have had with it in trying to get it to fit well.
Just fyi, I am considering the AWE Twin 2, the Neuspeed G2, and the Supersprint to replace my VM3.

Stock clamps will not work and will make the install seem like a chore.
Get some band clamps on your own... and just slip the pipes right in and you'll have little to no problems. VM3 of course.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/28675/edl_kill_diagram.jpg"></center><p>Do the EDL kill mod then rev the engine between 3500 and 4000 then sidestep.
shift point: 1-2 6800 2-3 5900 3-4 5500
Of course you have to play with the shift points, not every car is the same and track conditions change.
Have fun

Hey, just had VM3 installed on my 2002tip today and I'm going to try to do the Neuspeed rear sway bar tomorrow. Am I headed for trouble?

I have the stock sway bar right now and eventually plan to install a Neuspeed.
The Audi tech that adjusted my VM3 told me that he had done another VM3 install on an S4 with a Neuspeed sway bar and had NO clearance issues with that car. Maybe the configuration of the Neuspeed sway bar vs. the stock sway bar offers more clearance - I don't know.
Do you have any fitment problems now? Leaks? I was led to believe by UUC that I was one of a very few that had any fitment problems, but I know now after reading of so many others, that that is not true.
Good luck. Oh, let me know if you seem to gain more clearance with the installation of the Neuspeed sway bar. That may persuade me to do that mod sooner.

I had a pretty expensive/reputable place put them in so there WON'T be any leaks, etc. lest I go back and make them go away...so yes, I wimped out and didn't do it myself.
But will let you know after I attempt the sway.
