Torque Converter, Rebuild Q?
Guys,
I just spoke to a guy from europeantransmissions.com and the guy said (viz a cherman accent, yaa) I need to get the part number off my Torque Converter because there are different ones and the only way to find that out is to either take out the actual TC or get the number off of my transmission. Sounds like I should get the number off the tranny first let them know and once I take out the old TC send it to them and they can send me a rebuilt one right away, so I don't waste time.
1. Is this how it usually works?
2. Does anyone have any experience with these guys?
3. How do I get the part number off the transmissin?
4. If you did the same thing what was your cost?
Thanks guys!

Re: i'm sorry but i don't have any answers, but i have a q for you if you don't mind
Well, I have none right now, I plan on chipping it sometime, but I don't plan on going to stage 3.
Right now I just need a solid TC, mine is has been throwing a CE light and other TC related symptoms.

Jack up the car, put on jack stands, clean off label on bottom of trans. & read.
The Wikipedia entry is quite poor...
