tough to get in 1st gear only 20% of the time. thoughts please?

I have the same thing... like 20% of the time. I'm all eyes here.

Default I got the same problem, but only been that way since I installed my B&M SS

Oh yea, never buy a B&M SS, fing piece of ****. I'm going JHM linkage and SS when I get the $$$$$

Default 1st gear synchro is going south or else the teeth on the 1-2 shift collar....

or 1st gear itself are a little mashed.

put my ss in, i cant get it to the exact degrees its supposed to be at

Default Check the shifter for any worn bushings. If that is ok and your clutch is ok

U will need to rebuild your transmission. Read somewhere its a $600 part. Audi redesigned that part.

Default $600 just for the 1-2 shift collar, about $1200 for all the synchros, seals, as well as the...

shift collar. If you are going to go through all the effort of ripping the tranny apart, you might as well do it all at once.
