Tranny Options: Need some advice and thoughts on this one, guys...
My Tranny is pretty much hosed. 1st and 2nd are really hard to shift. Supposedly this is because I am shifting too fast for the "dog ends" to engage smoothly. Mike Staley, who I met this past weekend drove my car and basically shook his finger at me with "Bad shifting!"
For the price of $4000+ +install, I get the tranny rebuilt with hardened 1st and 2nd, hardened synrcos, and new "sliders?"
How does this sound to you? Any other options. I just dropped $4k a couple of months ago on the ko4 setup. The wife might just put me in a pine box if I keep on! THoughts? Advice?

4k$ for a new tranny=new car now.. better than $$ for an entire new car ..she'll understand.
it's like see..i try to save money and repair this car instead going to spend another 40k on a new car .. so 4k<40k ..so i would do it..

I can see it now...I'm going to be a furniture buyin' bastid! :)
...after the tranny of course.
I was curious if there was a more cost effective way of getting a new/rebuilt tranny.

Look! I am in no way going to endanger the...
"oral servicing" that I recieve on a regular basis! I just have to find a way to make her accept the idea of me getting the tranny AND finishing Stage III! Any thoughts on how to get that one done?
