Okay here is the deal, my gears all work. They don't slip when I drive normal. However when I drag or something of that nature, first gear seems to slip as if its not in all the way, but it clearly is. When I shift to second, same problem, after that everything is cool. Burning clutch smell afterwards. I know my shifts are clean. I think my clutch is going, but do I have further problems like syncros and what not. Car has 36,000miles on it. Also, what am I looking at for a clutch replacement? Dealer already replaced the tranny once from a tech taking my car out on a joy ride. Something tells me 1) they will not be happy to see me again 2) they will not put it under warrenty again.

Are there grinding sounds when you go into gear under hard acceleration in high revs? Sounds like just your clutch to me....

If you're friendly with your tech, get the RS4 clutch/pressure plate and have them install it under warranty.

Since your tranny was replaced because of a dealer problem tell them to STFU if they give you crap. And take your car in stock form...

That about covers it all.
