I thought the stock size of the wheels was 17x8 for S4, so there is no reason the 18x8 won't fit. Anyone here know the stock rim width for S4?

If you have to use spacers I don't think they will have a huge impact on ride quality.

There is no spec on a wheel that determines brake clearance. Offset, width, diameter, doesn't matter when it comes to brake clearance. The spoke shape is ultimately what really matters.

The only way to make sure they fit is test fitting.

Spacers can certainly help achieve more brake clearance. But exactly what size you need can't be determined without test fitting.

Spacers are plenty safe to use. But if you end up need a bit spacer, you'll have to start worrying about fender clearance.

Ahhh. So the issue is that the spokes would occupy the same space as the calipers for certain spoke shapes (say a strong inward bend or something)?

What is the stock width of b5 s4 rims?
