You're certain the torque wrench is calibrated? I've not had a problem with the ECS plug.

Default Just by looking at a vice grip would work perfect. Clamp the hell out of it and tap the vice

grip with a hammer.

Default ive had good luck with these things

i tried all the things you did and the bolt i was trying to get off looked like that. You have to hammer these things on pretty hard but once its on there they will hold.<ul><li><a href="http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Mechanics+Tools&amp;pid=00946338000 &amp;vertical=TOOL&amp;subcat=Automotive+Specialty +Tools&amp;BV_UseBVCookie=Yes">http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Mechanics+Tools&amp;pid=0

Default 2nd! My bolt is stripping, and on top of that, the threading is also fuxxored. I couldn't torque the

damn thing in to the right torque last week. I just get tightening and tightening and the torque wrench never clicked. I finally gave up.

I think it's tight enough so that no oil is leaking, but I will be switching back to OEM on the next oil change.

Default My plug isn't threading / tightening properly (see my post above). Is there something you can do for

me?

Thanks.

P.S. I have been using a proper 6-point socket.

Default suggestion...change the oil and replace the bolt now

This is just silly...you know it's not torqued right, and you know the threads are chewed...if that bolt manages to back out and dump your oil.....well, let's just say it's not worth it. Change the bolt and chalk up the $40 in oil hopefully sparing your engine and turbos of an impending disaster.
