....best to have a spare ECU with a chip in it. Swap ECU's prior to service and reset the power-loss DTC.

they can tell, that there are other places to save info. He told me how they can tell if your chipped, pulled the engine, max rpm, max speed etc...

But likely there are things we don't know about.
Remember, people can talk out of their *** and how can you tell if they're positive or not?
Here's the thing -- DO NOT assume they can't find out anything, given enough digging. If you want no troubles, stay stock. Anything else is a "hedge."
