If you plan to take your tiptronic S4 to Stage 2+ or higher, you should be prepared to upgrade your tranny to Level 10 "eventually." Just how soon will depend on how strong your car runs when you take it to Stage 2+ (is it practically new like mine, or does it have higher hard miles on it), how hard you drive it (are you running XR, dragging it, or street / track racing it all the time), and how well you maintain it (check for boost spikes regularly, always cool properly, get the best oil cooler on the market (like I did), clean your DV's as necessary, etc). As far as my car goes, right now it seriously runs perfect, but I got this car with 11K easy miles on it and have not driven it very hard. I pick my moments to push it hard, but otherwise I baby it big time. Most of the fun I have is taking turns fast, otherwise I am not pushing for my fastes 1/4 mile everytime I get behind the wheel like some people. Therefore my tranny is like new and most everything else is as well except for the damn paint. Well that's what you get when you buy a black car!

for an extra $500. With it your oil temp almost never goes above 200, even in hot weather. Just ask avantS4 *agent 0019*. He lives in Vegas and claims that even in that heat his oil temp is reading 200 degrees. I'm pretty sure Eric would sell one by itself to a Tip guy who just wanted the cooler, but the question is where you'll put it: mine is sitting where the driver side SMIC used to be. You should email eric (0700@duhengineering.com) and ask him. Tell him I referred you.
