Default Hi MP, Perhaps I should put a IMHO in there somewhere

Have had the opurtunity to look into the manufacturing and repair end of turbochargers. There is usually no coking in a water cooled bearing housing.

Where I do believe in a small cool-down is whenever a car is driven in anger you will need to cool down some of the following:

Brakes,
Coolant may need to circulate through cooling system,
Underhood temps need to cool off.

As preventative measures no one should ever pull off the track, freeway-autobahn and just shut it down. It should be driven at reduced power and speed to allow everything to cool off.

Default synthetic oil (which you are hopefully running) does not coke

it "flakes" when overheated to extreme.

Default here is a pic of mine...i love it,,and it makes me feel better about making sure the car had proper

time cool down. It is relatively easy (and fun!) to install if you know what you are doing (which i didn't at first). <img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/57605/aut_8462.jpg">

Is there a way to lower the temp sensor which triggers the after run pump to come on?
