Default Turbo treatment best practices

I've heard that I shouldn't go WOT until the oil temp reaches the 200 mark, and should be off the turbos for atleast 5 minutes before I shut the engine off. This puts a significant crimp on fun driving, and I'm not sure if it all makes sense. I thought the idea of going easy on startup was to make sure some oil got into the turbos before they went full power. That should happen pretty fast though, and why do I need 200 degree oil in there? Also, on cooldown, I know the idea is to let the heat slowly soak out of the turbos, which sounds good, but is 5 minutes necissary? The engine oil doesn't seem to cool at all in 5 minutes, but I'd think the turbos would cool pretty fast from the 1700 degrees or so they run at when hot right? Any experts care to weigh in on this one? Docslow, this doesn't mean you.

Default cooling isnt the issue---

YES--you should warm up the oil before driving hard---thats why race cars have warm-up laps... and...
turbos spin at upwards of 100,000 r.p.m. and the turbo shaft "floats" in a cushion of oil (no bearings)
so---if you shut down your engine while the turbo is still spinning down after a hard run you cut off the oil flow to the shaft and eventually have turbo failure.
S4 turbos are water cooled and have a seperate pump to flow coolant through the water jacket AFTER the engine is shut down. I typically just open my door and shut down the engine when the "door ajar" warning goes off maybe 45 seconds or so, and I typically drive "casually" the last mile or so. this should cover the turbo spindown so that it is running at very low speed when the engine is shut down and the shaft will not be as harshly affected.

Default How is this advice any differant from what I was questioning in my original post?

Yes I know people say that. I'm asking how long do I warm it up. Till 200 degrees? Or just for a few minutes? What. Someone who actually knows something and is not just repeating overheard peanut gallery chatter please...

Default good luck in trying to get help in the future and good luck to you with your car----

there is no "magic" temp. just get heat in your oil....I dont abuse my car I wait till water temp is centered and there is oil temp guage movement--but I NEVER drive hard unless I have at least 175 deg. in my oil temp guage.....
