For the record, Bar Keepers Friend is AWESOME at cleaning exterior glass. Seriously...
but you need to use it at the start of the car wash, then use the sponge to clean the glass again to get off any remaining residue.
It really cuts thru the grime. I know...it looks like comet, but it won't scratch.

Be careful to rinse that off thoroughly before moving on to washing the rest of the car. Wouldn't
want any of that residue dripping down and lingering on the paint as I'm sponging!
