When she got home, I smelled what i thot was melting plastic. I walked around the car and saw some faint smoke coming from the rear wheels. Thats when I realized that she probably didnt put the parking lever all the way down. i noticed that the calipers were not only extremly hot, but had developed an almost whitish color from the usual dark grey..I drove it around for about 20 minutes to let it cool down. You think any permanent damage?.. she only drove it for about 2 miles from the train station..

It would have been bad if she came home and engaged the p-brake on the already hot rotors and left it like that. You might check the pads to see what they look like. Also, you might want to flush your brake fluid, in case it boiled some off.

brake on.. then the wheel got so hot that the tire blew.. ouch!
