Default UNICHIP. Have you ever heard about it?

I was wondering how does it work. I know that the ECU is not even removed. Is that right?

Default Here's a link to get you started...

In it, there's info from others and also a link about the unichip itself. This was just one of the many links--do a search.

Default It is a popular choice in Australia for the Land Cruiser.

It is used by Air Power Systems/Safari for the Land Cruiser Turbo system. It is also used by them on Subarus. The unichip is made by Dastek in South Africa. Their web site is below.

The only problem I have heard with them is they tend to over heat in the Land Cruiser. If you do go that route you still need someone to tune the chip for you.

http://www.dastek.co.za/</a

Default I am a UNICHIP dealer...m,..

And we have had great results on any car we have attempted...

WRX's
STI (in tuning stages and it is going well)
All kinds of 911's
Evo
3000 GTVR4's

It is all in the skill of the tuner, trust me.

Default can the unichip be applied to all ecu's?

more specifically, can the unichip be applied to the "still unchippable since 1996" ecu of the 1996-1997 a4 2.8 12v? this north american ecu has never been "chipped" and is a hitachi unit. your answer could change the 12v world (as if anyone but us cares) : )
