I work with a local cop who was a member of philly's auto task force and he was very honest that unless the car was used for any other felony, they don't have the time or the resources to print them all.

my a4 was stolen on 2/5 and recovered 2/8. it's been in the body shop all this time.

i have metlife, and i feel like i need to pull teeth to get info. i've been told repeatedly that they would call me to let me know what's going on. i've only rec'd one phone call at the beginning of the claim process, apparently, so they could get a recorded statement from me. i've had to call them many times to find out when the adjuster would go see my car, and get an estimate. they do seem "fair", but are not quite good at keeping me, a very good customer, at ease about the whole process.

the body shop is about the same as met life. they have also promised to call to let me know when they have an estimate, what kind of work they'd do, etc. i found out about the estimate a week later, but only after i've called.

despite the fact that the shop is fixing all the damage, i still needed to call and remind them to get me a new set of keys, to check the frame, suspension, brakes, tires, wheels, etc. etc. etc.

i still don't have my car back, and the shop said that it would be ready this past wednesday.

sorry to hear about your car. maybe geico and the body shop you're working with will be better than mine... just be prepared to make a lot of phone calls to check up on things. also, make sure you keep accurate records and copies of all your paperwork!!!
