Just got a response from AoA on trying to take European delivery of a US spec RS4. Instead of the standard "Audi doesn't offer Euro delivery" I got...

remember how everytime someone calls AOA and asks about the avant S4, they say the RS4? I think the announcement is going to be for the avant and not really the RS4. As far as I know, the RS4 is all sold out in Europe.

The timing seems strange to me. AoA has usually -- at least in the past 3 years -- made major product announcements in conjunction with auto shows. The next major U.S. auto show is NY in April. I can't imagine some major announcement just coming out of the blue in mid-March.

Realistically I would expect that they'll announce the S4 Avant for the U.S. at the NY show. Maybe the S6 sedan?
