Default used s4 = abused s4?? how to tell??

Thinking of a used S4, what in particular should I look for to make sure it is not abused? Anyone hear of people clocking them? I know most people buy these cars to have fun, so anyone know how much an extended waranty costs?

Default first you could find out if the owner posts here,

if so, you could read old posts of their descriptions of how they drove the car, what mods they may have tried in the past, if he/she ever tracked it, etc. If so maybe you would have found a mild S4 driver's cars and people here could support the owners claims if we knew him/her had indeed not abused the car to a serious extent?

Just a thought, its something i did when considering a used one.

Default Also look @ documentation. A good owner tracks oil changes etc..

If this car has zero documentation then it's likely pre owned by a "care less" type of owner

My opinion only.

Default Hmm, not so sure about that statement....

If you think about it...rich housewives/playboys that buy luxury cars every 1-2 years don't usually mod, race, or abuse...they follow dealer schedules and buy another car when they get bored. Some of the most extreme modders pay very close attention to detail, so they would likely list oil changes etc.

I can't offer what is a great measure though. I suppose those that mod might be more likely to race, etc.
