Can anyone tell me what used S4 Avants are going for at car auctions (ie Manheim). How about the used market for one with 25-30K miles. In case someone is selling I'm looking for a Black on Black 6 speed

got the silver 6 spd I wanted in excellent cond for $28,700 53k miles AA warranty.

I would say for mileage that low, a good private- seller deal would be around $32k. I would think that if you want to specify color and trans in a car this rare, you'll need to be willing to look anywhere and everywhere, not just auction. Best of luck!

I paid 28K and change for a loaded Assured 2001.5 Avant Tip about two weeks ago, in Southern California with 48,000 on it. It was the Memorial Day ad car at the dealer, and had been reduced from 32K to 30K for that weekend. It has a couple of very minor flaws, but nothing I haven't already fixed. It came with a set of Abt A25 wheels which are worth about $400 each, plus 255x40x18 rubber. The A25s aren't my taste, but they're nice wheels and will be for sale as soon as I swap a set of RS4 DTMs on. The car did include all service records, and all the various Avant specific accessories.

...Yes. I wanted a Tip, and those of you who know me, know why.

I dig this car so much more than my sedan... Now I just need to get all the power back.

So... there's one Black 6 Speed in there, and it also happens to be the highest mileage car, at nearly 67,787 miles. There are a couple of black Tips, too. The average price is $30,251. I rounded prices and mileage somewhat, and excluded cars that lacked color, transmission, or price information.

It's too bad you don't like silver... It is the most common, and there's an '01 MT6 in there with only 2800 miles on it, that claims to have simply lived in the garage. It's a STEAL for someone who's so inclined.

Black appears to be the 3rd least common behind Laser and Nogaro.

I'm feeling pretty good about the deal I cut on my car!

perfect for me since i was planning on doing mods all over it, so i prefer to save money with no warranty
i looked coast to coast for 6 months (wanted laser 6 speed) before i got tired and end up with black tip.. never regret it tho!
