Default You're right. Here are PICS:

Right side does not line up in these pics:

Right side is off:

Left side lines up:

You can do this vice-versa but then the left side won't line up but the right side will.

Default check out the pics I posted.

seems like stock fuel rail is simply too wide? I think I would have to cut all the lines and shorten it by about a quarter inch and then braze the lines back together.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2790038.phtml</a

Default Also, i'm using the W8 throttle body which is nearly identical to RS4 and there

is no clearence issue with the front tubing.

Default do you have a pipe torch?

heat the middle lines up and bend it very little.
an easy wahy would be to place some metal pipe on top of the intake manifold heat up the place where it touches and force it down while its hot.

Default I sorta understand what you're saying, but need clarification.

Wouldn't I need to heat the three tubes crossing over the manifold at the same time...to make the rail narrower?

Default yea i think thats the best solution. good idea haime.

if you heat the 3 tubes, and bent the rail over a pipe carefully it should put some arc to the fuel rail, making it able to be lined up.

the key is no sharp bends to kink any lines.

Default There is another issue though. Even with one side lined up, the injector "holders" don't line up

to the RS4 holes for the injector.

sigh...I think it's a lost cause.

cutting the hard line and reattaching too tough?

Default I could cut and then braze but I still don't think the injectors would line up properly.

I think I might suck it up and get the RS4 rail. This is the exact reason I've been holding off on my injector purchase.

Default line one side with bolts, than take pictures of it from the top and side so we can see the injectors

how far off they are.
