please find posted, picture of the VelociMax exhaust with DTM tips.
Although difficult to tell, there is about 1/2" above and on the sides of the tips (the picture looks like it's almost touching).
Each DTM tip has a small drain hole, so that any accumulating moisture can drain out (as if your twin turbos couldn't do it upon startup). After they car cut and welded, the welds are ground down so that you can bearly see them (you can see the seam inside the tip) and polished to a shiny luster. cleaning them requires only soap and water as they are T-304 stainless steel like the entire exhaust.

Is there any difference between them functionally? Also, what does DTC stand for? DTC tips look sportier and more sophisticated, but I don't understand what they do better than round tips.

Just a thought here... Please tell me that I'm worried for nothing. I'd like one of these puppies.. but seeing as how the tips extend out (and up) from under the rear fender... is there a chance of someone burning themselves if they accidently brush it ? (while getting something out of the trunk for example)
That would suck.. it sounds awesome and looks phoenominal... but.. but... but....

for those that don't know where DTM came from...
The German touring car championship (DTM-Deutche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft) is a championship for the FIA class 1 touring cars. The cars have a maximum engine capacity of 2500 cc and are limited to six cylinders. The teams use V6 engines which produce between 420 and 450 bhp depending on which source you believe. The rules state that the engines have to be developed from a series model and keep the distance between cylinders' centers, the angle between two main bearings and the distances between the bed supports. The engines have no rev limiter and they currently rev about 12,000.
The chassis are loosely based on production models, but major modifications are allowed. The cars are either rear wheel or 4-wheel driven. Rear wheel driven cars have to weigh a minimum of 1000 kg and 4-wheel cars a minimum of 1040 kg. All the factory teams have ABS braking systems.
At the FIA meeting in Monaco on December 6, 1996 the 1997 (ITC) International Touring car Championship was officially cancelled. It was cancelled on the not surprising basis that there were not enough manufacturers willing to compete and no sign of agreement of any kind.
hope this helps.
