I STFA and didn't find much on it. I have 20% all around (minus the windshield) and I'm wondering if the V1 is still worth it....

The loss in sensitivity is marginal...and still leaves the V1's radar sniffing abilities above the pack, considering other detectors don't even have a rear radar antenna.
Forward sensitivity is unaffected, since there is no tint on your windshield.
The effects on the radar locator is marginal, since the rear sensitivity isn't affected that much.
Get the V1 with no reservations.

If you have metallic tint, it cuts signal strength a good amount. No ifs/ands/or buts about it. Can't get around basic physics.
Now, the V1 will likely still work, but it absolutely will lose sensitivity.

just talking from my complete lack of tickets with the V1, and the distance I get in detection (which is enough for me to slow down by a lot before I get to the radar in question)

The point is that tint will reduce the effective range of any radar detector from the rear. Does that matter? Not necessarily, its rare to get pulled over because of a radar reading from behind you, but saying there's no loss of signal is just incorrect.
