It was mentioned earlier today, but here are the final details for those of you who would like to do some spirited driving this Sunday. There is a group of BMW owners local to the area (mostly Ms) and they are getting together at 1 pm on Sunday at the Dulles Town Center to go for a drive. I think it would be nice to let the rivalry go for a day and enjoy some quality German machines. Here is the route proposed:
"OK, from there, we will drive Route 28 -> Route 7 West -> Route 15 North -> I70 East
I70 East is 65MPH, 3 lanes wide, little traffic, little police activity as far as I could ever tell. This goes for about 35 miles to I695 near Baltimore. We take that to I95 South for like 30 miles to 495 and then from there stop at Tysons or wherever to wrap things up. That lap will take about 2-2.5 hours. There is a toll in B'more of 1 dollar.
Alternatively we could go I70 West for however long we want. It's 65MPH and 2 lanes, but far less traffic and even less police presence. That road goes on for a very long time, so we would have to stop and turnaround at some point."
Please post here if you plan to attend so that we can get an idea of how many. Thanks!

A little highway is fun but i mostly hoped for out of the way twisty country roads.
I dont mind meeting up with BMW's tho. Where exactly is this meeting point?
I think people should respond if they want to join this drive or just make our own to suit our time contraints. If we do this one. Ill leave when we get to baltimore.

has any suggestions for good back roads too, that'd be great. To answer your question though, I think they're mainly highways, but I70 is quite beautiful this time of year.
