I was told to download an older version and try that. Anyone run into the same problem? TIA

I had the same problem with the first cable that Ross-tech sent me. The cable may be defective
The first cable was dead out of the box and got it replaced. Try using the cable on a different computer as well as on a different car. If you are getting the same results contact Andy at the Ross-tech tech support and he will advise you what to do.

OK there's progress BUT...
It says com port status:OK .."interface status:5-Modem!" I pressed save then when I go into the engine catagory it says : Interface Status=5, Interface not ready! Possible reasons : incorrect COM port selected, interface not plugged in, ignition not turned on, Kline Stuck"

How can a VAG-COM cable go bad? I have the old school ISO-COM cable and it recently stopped working.
